How does the All-on-Four procedure work?
The All-on-Four Dental Implants procedure has a lot in common with single-implant placement with only minor variations. You have teeth in day!
Step 1 Your dentist will extract any damaged or any teeth that may still be present. The doctor will then contour the gum and install 4 titanium implants into your jaw bone of the arch – two near the front, and two more toward the back typically at an angle to increase the are of bone that the implant attaches to. You will at the end of the procedure receive temporary traditional dentures while you heal. All this is done under sedation.
Step 2 Over the next 12 weeks your gums will heal and new bone will form around the implants, securing it permanently in place.
Step 3 We will then expose the implants and use locators to take an impression for your custom abutments.
Step 4 We will place the custom abutment and take final impressions for your permanent tooth (crown)
Step 5 Your dentist will place your permanent dentures, securely anchoring them in place on top of the abutments.
